DOCTORS WARNING: It's Dangerous To Drink Coffee On An Empty Stomach - Read To Find Out Why!

Coffee has become part of an ever day breakfast drink for Filipinos. The body will not totally function well without this go-to drink in the morning. It relaxes and let you feel renewed just by drinking it.

But, beware!

Researchers diagnosed that consuming this without eating anything are putting your health at risk and can cause serious problems!

Here are some of them:

1. Anxiety

If you go through the mornings on an empty stomach, you decrease the ability of your brain to process serotonin properly. When the brain cannot process it, then it will cause anxiety and depression. If you drink coffee on an empty stomach it can cause even more anxiety and will boost your cortisol and adrenaline levels, leaving you nervous, weak and jittery.

2. Dehydration

Drinking coffee on an empty stomach increases the amount of fluid your body passes and can result in dehydration.


If you’re like many Filipinos in the morning, you’ll likely respond to that dehydration by reaching for yet another cup of coffee, making things even worse for yourself.

3.Stomach Acid

Your body stomach contains hydrochloric acid, which, at the right level, supports your body digest food efficiently. When your stomach is empty, this acid doesn’t really have much to work with, so it can slosh around and cause abdominal discomfort.

Drinking a cup of coffee on an empty stomach adds to the problem by secreting even more acid in your stomach. Consistently having too much acid in will cause damage to your stomach and digestive tract, leading to conditions like acid reflux, heartburn, stomach ulcers, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

4. Loss of Appetite

Coffee has that effect on the body – it’s one of the reasons why coffee is so effective at helping you lose weight. But while coffee can be a great way to suppress your appetite at certain points in the day, the morning should not be one of those points. You need breakfast. In the long run, if you skip it, you’ll actually gain weight than coffee could ever help you shrug off.

Researchers have pinpointed the ideal times, and it turns out that if you eat a good, healthy breakfast you can enjoy your coffee between 10 AM and noon.
