Having a dark underarms makes you feel embarrass and insecure of wearing clothes which exposes that part of your body, such as sleeveless shirts, spaghetti, bikinis and strapless dress.
What Causes Dark underarms?
Dark coloration of the skin in armpits are usually caused by shaving, hair removing creams that contains harmful chemicals, poor ventilation in the underarms, build up of dead skin, alcohol based deodorants. This process is the same problem as to having tan skin because of the over exposure in UV rays.
How to get rid of Dark Armpits?
Natural ingredients in your underarms are more safe to use. It doesn't contain any chemicals that can damage your skin and cause more problem.
Rub a slice or grated potato unto your underarms and leave it there for 15-20 minutes. Repeat this treatment twice a day.
Rub a slice of lemon on your skin and leave for 10 minutes, then wash off. Apply a moisturizer, because lemons can often irritates your skin.
3. Baking Soda
Combine baking soda and water to make paste. Scrub your skin using this paste and wash off. Use this treatment for several times a week. This could also help to neutralized the smell of your underarms if you have any.
Mix vinegar and flour to make a paste. Rub the paste on your underarms and leave it to dry for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
5. Coconut oil
This is loaded with vitamins that helps to lighten skintone. Put some coconut oil on your underarms before showering and massage for 5-10 minutes. Wash with warm water and soap to remove oil residue.
How to avoid Dark Coloration on your Underarms?
When shaving instead of using shaving creams, use coconut oils.
Exfoliate your armpits atleast once a week.
